Investigating the procedure of cropping pattern and its impact on irrigation and drainge networks
Abstract : Optimum use of water and soil potential of the region requires the prediction of model and crop density based on studies of selecting the best method and water use planning. The cropping pattern should be determined and implemented on the basis of the potential of soil water resources, the economy and the needs of the project area.Faliure to comply with this will cause numerous problems in irrigation and drainage networks. In this research, changes in cropping pattern of Moghan plain irrigation and drainage network were studied. The occurrence of two periods of irrigation peak during the crop period is due to the effects of changes in the cropping pattern. The consequences of multiple recent droughts dictate the neccessity of analyzing the process of cropping pattern and warn the need to develop appropriate strategies for operation and maintenance of irrigation and drainge networks
